On-Line Board Review Course:
- Weekly lectures: 3 hours block
- 9 Hours of Education per Speciality (24 sessions, 3 hours each)

The In-Person Board Review Course.
- Three days. Usually, the three days before the Annual IMS convention
- Two Days of didactic review lectures (20 hours)
- Review lectures on all aspects of orthopedic:
- Sports Medicine
- Adult reconstructive surgery
- Spine
- Pediatric
- Trauma
- Upper Extremity & Hand
- Pathology
- Foot and Ankle
- Lectures are templated and updated by IMS.
- Source of information is predominantly the AAOS review book
- Evidence based, non controversial lectures
- AAOS style formatted lectures
- Lectures are consistent but updated year after year
- Sample of well-selected Multiple Choice Questions will be discussed in each
subspecialty
- 1/2-Full day:
- Introduction and remarks by board examiners how to prepare and take the exam
- 8 Round tables, One for each sub-specialty
- Mock Exam: each Board Candidate will take a mock exam in front of Jury with
Constructive feedback
from the jury
- Final remarks
Who should attend?
- Doctors who are taking their board exams. Worldwide and in particular from Middle East
and Africa who are preparing to take their national board (Saudi, Kuwaiti, Nigerian,
Jordanian,
etc….) or Regional Board (Arab Board, etc...).
- Any Physician who would like to refresh his or her knowledge in a very well structured
and compact
manner.
- Best for Residents at all levels but especially during the last two years in training:
- Last year of training: Helps the resident with a comprehensive review, mock exam and
needed coaching.
- Before the Last year of Training: Helps the resident to identify gaps in their
knowledge giving them ample time to make up for it during the remaining time before
their exam.
